Driving sustainability through conservation, clean energy, and community-led environmental action.
Plantation Drive: Giving Back to Mother Earth
As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, MRG School organized a Plantation Drive to instill a sense of environmental responsibility among students and encourage them to become active stewards of nature. The initiative provided students with a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a greener and healthier environment while learning about the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance.
Students enthusiastically participated in planting saplings across the campus and surrounding areas, gaining valuable insights into environmental conservation and sustainable living. The activity helped them understand the critical role trees play in improving air quality, conserving natural resources, and combating climate change.
The plantation drive also served as a platform to nurture values of responsibility, care, and community participation among young learners. Students pledged to plant and protect trees, reinforcing their commitment to preserving the environment for future generations. Through such initiatives, MRG School continues to promote environmental awareness and inspire students to take meaningful steps toward building a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future.

Environmental Workshop and Plastic Collection Drive with Bisleri
On 31st July 2023, MRG School, in partnership with Bisleri, organized an Environmental Workshop for students of Grades VI to VIII as part of the "Bottles for Change" initiative. The workshop was designed to raise awareness about environmental conservation, responsible waste management, and the importance of adopting sustainable practices in everyday life. Through interactive sessions and engaging discussions, students gained valuable insights into the impact of plastic waste on the environment and the role of recycling in creating a cleaner and healthier future.
The program encouraged students to become environmentally conscious citizens by helping them understand the significance of waste segregation, responsible consumption, and the principles of a circular economy. The workshop also inspired students to take practical steps toward reducing plastic pollution within their homes, schools, and communities.
Following the awareness session, MRG School conducted a Plastic Collection Drive, motivating students, staff, and families to actively participate in recycling efforts. The initiative successfully resulted in the collection and donation of 50 kilograms of plastic waste for recycling, preventing it from ending up in landfills and contributing to a more sustainable waste management system.
This collaborative effort not only highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship but also reinforced the school's commitment to sustainability and community engagement. By combining education with action, the initiative empowered students to become advocates for environmental responsibility and inspired them to adopt eco-friendly habits that contribute to a greener and more sustainable future.

Save Soil Movement Participation
MRG School actively participated in the Save Soil Movement, a global awareness campaign initiated by Sadhguru through the Isha Foundation to address the growing threat of soil degradation and promote sustainable environmental practices. The movement aims to highlight the importance of preserving soil health, which is fundamental to food security, biodiversity, and ecological balance.
As part of this initiative, MRGians enthusiastically joined the campaign by engaging in various awareness-building activities. Students created informative posters, wrote letters, and participated in discussions to express their support for soil conservation and advocate for stronger measures to protect this vital natural resource. These activities encouraged students to understand the critical role healthy soil plays in sustaining life and maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
The participation also served as an educational opportunity, helping students develop a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and the importance of collective action in addressing them. Through creative expression and active involvement, students demonstrated their commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable living.
By supporting the Save Soil Movement, MRG School reinforced its dedication to fostering environmental awareness among young learners and encouraging them to become responsible global citizens. The initiative inspired students to recognize that even small actions can contribute to meaningful change and play an important role in building a more sustainable future for generations to come.
