Welfare Initiatives for the Elderly
MRG School remains committed to promoting compassion and community welfare through initiatives focused on supporting senior citizens. As part of this commitment, students from the Community Club paid a heartfelt visit to Shiv Ashray Old Age Home, where they spent meaningful time interacting with residents, sharing stories, and participating in cultural activities. The visit brought joy and companionship to the elderly while helping students develop a deeper appreciation for the wisdom, experiences, and contributions of older generations.
The interaction was filled with laughter, music, dance, and engaging conversations, creating cherished memories for both the residents and the students. The experience reinforced important values such as respect, gratitude, empathy, and social responsibility, encouraging students to recognize the importance of caring for and supporting senior members of society.
Further extending its efforts, the MRG Student Council partnered with HelpAge India to support initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of elderly citizens. As part of this outreach program, the school contributed resources, including the installation of an LED television to enrich the communal living space and provide residents with greater access to entertainment and information.
These initiatives reflect MRG School's commitment to creating a culture of care and inclusivity while fostering meaningful connections across generations. Through active community engagement, students learn the value of service, compassion, and giving back to society, helping build a more supportive and respectful community for all.
